Artist Talk with Holly Lynton

Photographer Holly Lynton ’94 will talk about her upcoming monograph, Bare Handed, and discuss current work. Her photographs focus on understanding rural communities in the United States through their agricultural history, current industry, and ritual. The images she creates underscore the importance of having unmediated experiences with the natural world. In a new project, she examines the intersection of faith, history, and the environment.

Holly Lynton will be offering a workshop at Maine Media on October 18-22, 2021.

Her work can be seen at the Yale University Art Gallery exhibit, On the Basis of Art: 150 Years of Women at Yale, starting Sept. 10, 2021.

Zoom meeting link and password will be provided in the confirmation email upon successful registration.
